Edi Rama continues to appear "sad" when it comes to the KLA. After yesterday's statements in Pristina, Rama today had a phone call with Hashim Thaçi in the context of Kosovo's independence, wanting to show again that he is the "Father of the Nation" and that he alone feels sorry for what the leaders who are being held in prison are going through.
Rama shared a video of the conversation, where he even accompanied it with sequences from the liberation war. Rama writes that Thaçi was very calm in his voice and that he had told him that he had won his freedom forever and that no one can ever take it away.
" For years, the February 17th congratulatory phone call from The Hague has been emotionally difficult, but today the Commander was as calm as ever in his voice, repeating to me twice, at the beginning and at the end, 'I have won my freedom forever and no one can ever take it away from me, wherever I am! '" Rama wrote on his Facebook page, alongside the video.
" Happy Independence to you too Commander... I am very worried about this story. My brother, I hug you tightly, I love you very much. I am very sorry that I cannot do more. Happy Independence, I hug you tightly and I apologize to those friends ," Rama is heard saying to Thaçi during the phone conversation.
Meanwhile, it should not be forgotten that Rama is the one who put Ramush Hradinaj, also a former KLA leader, on trial. Meanwhile, now he has not left a moment without attacking Albin Kurti.
We recall that the Special Prosecution has requested 45 years in prison for Hashim Thaçi and the 3 other former KLA leaders who are in The Hague, a request strongly opposed by politicians in Albania and Kosovo, as it would undo the KLA's just fight for freedom.
