The leader of the Democratic Party commented on the Prime Minister's initiative for legal changes and the opposition's position on the issue addressed in the Constitutional Court.
He opposed the Prime Minister's interpretation of the Balluku case in the Constitutional Court as a non-decision. Berisha emphasized that in this case there was no lack of quorum, but a dissent of four judges.
He added that the opposition will assess whether the case will be returned to the Constitutional Court, while also warning of organizing a reaction that he described as a peaceful uprising.
"As you saw, the Constitutional Court did not reject, but left the prosecutor's decision in force. Rama is trying to call it a non-decision, but it is a lie. Since the legislator has determined that 5 votes are needed to reject the decision, it means that the court cannot get 5. He left it in force. It is a decision not approval. He left the law in force. We are not dealing with a lack of quorum. But we are dealing with a firm opposition from 4 judges. Will it go to the Constitutional Court or to a peaceful uprising, this will be discussed. We are committed to organizing a peaceful uprising ," he said.
