The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, spoke today about the Electoral Reform and the demands of the opposition.
Among these demands, the chief democrat mentioned open lists and equality of votes.
Basha announced that DP departments are working on the program that will be presented to Albanians.
"Yesterday we had stimulating discussions with members of the health department, in the coming weeks we will enable this program to be presented to Albanians. The program needs guardians for guarantors that what we say today we will do tomorrow. In order to achieve a quality process with a quality team, we must stand for the values that differentiated us but kept us on our feet. We have stood and stand strong for open lists. Second, the equality of the vote. Albania, an electoral district, is not an electoral whim, but our proposal for the equality of the vote.
Electoral reform is the way to offer Albanians a level playing field. Without the blow of corruption that now the whole world knows what damage it has brought to Albania, the elections will undoubtedly be the next victim. A party cannot only be a denunciation, but also a visionary and programmatic proposer. PD will be in support of the electoral reform that offers Albanians a level playing field", he said.
Speaking about the Democratic Party, Basha said that during these last six months, the arduous process of re-establishing the party has been completed.
According to Basha, DP is the only political party outside the system.
"We are the only political party outside the tyranny system. We will stay outside the tyranny system, we will defeat the tyranny and we will give the Albanians the hope they deserve", said Basha.
The head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, said that the DP is the main threat to the government to topple it from power.
