The Deputy of the Democratic Party, Luan Baçi, has kept his word in the daily gathering of citizens below the residence of former Prime Minister Berisha.
He said that the opposition protests will continue as they are protests not only for Berisha's issue, but for all the citizens' problems.
"I know that many of you have been in this pulpit and said that we are here in support of the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.
We are here in support of the chairman of the Democratic Party protesting against the ban, political persecution and targeting that has been done to him. We are here and we will continue to protest because we are not protesting only for the doctor, but for all the farmers who blocked the Levan road, for the farmers of Gjirokastra, for all the farmers of Albania who are protesting for their rights", he said . Baçi said.
The democratic deputy went on to talk about the problems of farmers.
He has accused the government of leaving them in oblivion and not subsidizing them.
"They are trapped and on the verge of bankruptcy due to the high cost of production as they compete with neighboring countries that subsidize their farmers, while our government does not.
Our government has the money for Rama's charters. We will continue to protest against the decisions they made for Berisha, we will protest for the students for their difficult life, for those medical students who filled the street and forced Rama to suspend the law.
These students achieved their goal with the support of the Democratic Party deputies, with the support of Dr. Berisha who appealed to the Constitutional Court. We are here to protest for freelancers as well, as this government is taxing them up to 23% and will soon bankrupt them," Baçi said in his speech.
