During today's parliamentary session in the Assembly, there were arguments with the socialist deputy Erion Braçe and the democrat Jorida Tabaku regarding the high-level arrests by SPAK.
Braçe stated that it is easier to have arrests from the left side than the right side, as he stated that the reason is the culture of the law and not fear of it. He went on to say that justice is not honored by the "parade of politicians who are drowning in accusations at the doors of justice".
Tabaku responded to this statement immediately, saying that she is not afraid of the law, while adding that MPs should be afraid of the law as a whole.
Excerpts from the debate in the Assembly:
Braçe : Why is it so easy to be arrested from the left and why so impossible to be arrested from the right. There is a big difference and it lies in the culture of the law. Not the fear of the law, but the culture of the law, as much as you have the capacity not to give in relation to the law. Since the reform in justice, I have decided not to speak here about the decisions of the judiciary. If there is one thing that does not honor justice, it is the parade of politicians deep in the throat with reports at the doors of justice.
If there was a question that could be impossible but was asked in the Laws Commission, it was do you feel pressure from politicians and the answer was negative. If this song continues, there will never be justice.
Tabaku : I am afraid of the law Mr. Brace. MPs should fear the law, Justice has never been in my hands and I have only encouraged it. We must achieve this today.
