"Resurgence starts from the base", the democratic deputy reveals the
Deputy Sali Berisha, Lefter Gështenja and Gazment Bardhi

In an effort to call another meeting of the National Council of DP, the group headed by Gazment Bardhi will not make a difference between the members of this body, who have spent months with the Reestablishment of Berisha.

This is what MP Lefter Gështenja says, who indicated that he started contacting all the members who were elected in 2021, before the internal conflict started.

"The Democratic Party has a National Council, the list of which is filed in court. We cannot change the list of the National Council, as many times as needed. It is determined how the members of the National Council are elected and removed", said MP Lefter Gështenja for A2 CNN.

He did not give details about the agenda of this meeting, nor a date when it can be called, but he spoke about the need that the Democratic Party has for a real, reliable process and for an equal competition, after the one between Lulzim Basha and Gergj Hani he doesn't call it that.

"We need a new spirit, a new team. It has been said that we do not want a process, but we have requested that the process continue and have other deadlines, we must create equal conditions and an equal competition. Not with speed, because speed kills", he added.

According to Gështenja, the biggest problem of the Democratic Party is at the base and he says that the solution should start from there.

"PD's biggest problem is at the base. We must sit down at the base, we must have a real analysis. To find the causes and problems, we must not overcome them. This process should be three months long, so that everyone can go down to the ground and meet the democrats. Let's choose the party's forums from the bottom up, that's how a strong DP is created," the MP said.

If Basha's group does not withdraw, will the clash continue in the court as in the case of Berisha?
"I would not like the court to be the final solution and DP to wander through the doors of the courts. A lighter mechanism will be needed. If it continues with the judicial ways, this will divide us, we must sit down to reflect and find the best solution", he said.

Geshtenja asks all groups in DP to reflect and take a step back, as he says that if this continues, Edi Rama will win.
