The Democratic Party's request to establish an Investigative Commission for the dismissal of President Bajram Begaj has been rejected by the majority.
With 77 votes against and 26 in favor, the DP's request was rejected by a majority of votes, thus halting the initiation of procedures for the dismissal of President Begaj.
We recall that on October 15, the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party requested the initiation of parliamentary proceedings for the dismissal of the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, based on point 2 of Article 90 of the Constitution, with the argument of "serious violation of the Constitution".
The President's request to the Constitutional Court to clarify the mandate of the members of this court, the decree of Diella as minister, the decree of the law on investigative commissions were among the reasons why the DP demanded that Begaj no longer be head of state.
Meanwhile, the DP and the SP joined forces to approve the members of the Electoral Reform Commission. The decision passed with 105 votes.
