The Assembly resumes its work at noon on Thursday, after an almost two-month break due to the May 11 elections. Tomorrow's session will include the approval of the Parliament's work calendar until July 8.
And while most of the current lawmakers will not be part of the new legislature, as they were not confirmed as deputies on May 11, there may once again be debates and clashes between the majority and the Democrats in the session.
In a message addressed to MPs, Gazment Bardhi, in his capacity as head of the DP Parliamentary Group, asks lawmakers to denounce the electoral farce of May 11.
"Tomorrow at 12:00 is the plenary session of the Parliament, in which we will participate and do everything to present the full facts about the electoral farce of May 11. I greet you!", says the message that Bardhi sent to his opposition MP colleagues.
Bardhi was the DP's political leader for the Fier region, but achieved the party's weakest result in this region, receiving only 4 mandates on May 11. Even with this result, the DP failed to win even the seats that were considered safe due to the closed list.
Democratic leader Sali Berisha is expected to bear the brunt of the denunciations on Thursday, as political leaders in the regions will present what they interpret as evidence of electoral manipulation. It is not known whether the majority will accept that the session take this direction, i.e. denunciations by the opposition of what it considers to be the farce of May 11, but the DP is learning that a blockade of the Assembly rostrum is not ruled out.
