The High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, has reacted to her official visit to Tirana.
Kallas expressed her satisfaction with the signed agreements and meetings with senior leaders, including President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister Rama.
In particular, she expresses her joy at the agreement signed between the European Investment Bank and the Government of Albania for the reconstruction of the Durrës-Rrogozhina railway.
"Delighted to witness the signing of an agreement between Albania and the EIB to rebuild the railway between the port of Durres and Rrogozhina. This will create new jobs, increase trade and improve connectivity, bringing Albania closer to its neighbors and the EU," Kallas wrote on her personal account on the social network X.
Yesterday, the commissioner paid a visit to Montenegro, while tomorrow she will hold meetings in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kallas stated today, alongside Prime Minister Rama, that "Albania's membership in the EU is realistic."
