"The silent majority demands radical change", Basha: Politics has

The former head of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, has stated that accusations and hate speech are not a political alternative.

In a post on social networks, Basha writes that the time of reflection has served him to see more clearly how the political system has degraded politics, a show that focuses on the problems of politicians and not the problems of citizens.

According to Basha, more than 70% of citizens have rejected this political system, which does not offer any solution to the daily concerns of Albanians. Furthermore, the former democratic leader stated that DP can bring change by cooperating closely with citizens and international partners.

"Gratitude for the work and sacrifices of the democrats of Branch No. 6 in Tirana. I gladly accepted their invitation for an open conversation about the concerns that all of us as citizens and democrats share today.

This time of reflection served me to see even more clearly how this political system has degraded into a show that focuses on the problems of a few politicians, not the problems of the citizens. Quarrels, accusations, hate speech cannot be the answer to the big challenges that the country has. More than 70% of citizens have rejected this political system, which does not offer any solution to the daily concerns of Albanians. This silent majority demands a radical change in the country's affairs, an alternative that reflects the aspirations of the people, listens to them and empowers them. The Democratic Party can bring about this change, in close cooperation with citizens and our international partners," writes Basha.
