From Elisa Spiropali to Erion Braçe; critical voices in the Socialist Party are being tested amid threats, purges, and a party that seems increasingly terrorized by its own leadership...

Two simultaneous developments within the majority occurred within one day.

The first was a post by Ogerta Manastirliu, who published on her page a meeting of the Socialist Party in a village in the Farka unit, where Elisa Spiropali was next to her.

The photos published by Manastirliu showed a different Elia: not the fighter of the last statement, when she challenged Edi Raman to expel her from the party, because she did not need "spoiling".

On the contrary, Manastirliu; as Rama's man at the head of the Tirana SP, attempted to convey the image of a stubborn and loyalist Elise.

After the defiant statements, Spiropali appears cocky in grassroots meetings, while Rama turns her "opposition" into a test of public loyalty. /

Meanwhile, Edi Rama himself, in the interview given to Nikollë Lesi, delivered an even harsher message.

Coded, carefully selected, but clearly threatening, in the classic style of old mafia bosses.

When asked by Nikollë Lesi, Rama stated that Spiropali's warning; "exclude me!", was in fact a "message of love", a call to get closer after the cold shoulder.

This statement constitutes a political monstrosity, because not only has Rama publicly warned her that if this happens a third time, he will punish her, but he has also trivialized her political commitment.

It is the typical way an authoritarian leader behaves with his associates: he considers political engagement or appointment to public office as his personal indulgence, and not as a normal course of political cooperation.

Now it is Elisa Spiropali's turn to show what her political position really is in relation to the party leadership and whether she is serious about the battle she claims to have started.

But chances are we're not dealing with a real battle.

A political battle needs neither warnings nor media 'tick-tocks', but concrete acts, which usually speak louder than declarations.

The Socialist Party throughout Albania, especially in Tirana, is today a terrorized, divided structure, and largely dissatisfied with the leadership of Edi Rama.

The meetings of the SP of Tirana are lukewarm and with minimal participation. A large part of the membership is absent or refuses to show up as a form of protest. This is happening in almost all units.

Under these conditions, Edi Rama is attempting to use the allure of power, organizing selective meetings only with parts of the organizations and not informing critical members.

Even in unit number 5, where Erion Braçe is politically responsible, his supporters have been sidelined and have not been notified of the last three meetings.

All of this is part of Rama's campaign to purge the party of critics, identifying who is following whom.

In unit 5, Erion Braça's supporters are marked "with a red circle", as in the time of Emiliano Zapata.

Meanwhile, in unit 7, the political leader of the area, namely the mayor of Tirana district, Aldrin Dalipi, has left.

Former Minister of Justice, Etilda Gjonaj, has been tasked by Rama to lead the socialist organization of Unit 7, which is considered the third most important in Tirana after Unit 14 and Unit 5.

But so far, Gjonaj has failed to reorganize the SP in the "21" and Aviation Field areas, where the majority of the membership has demonstratively boycotted meetings and invitations coming from the central dome.

Now is the time for all those who want to start a political battle within the SP.

The conditions exist. The people at the grassroots level have shown full willingness for a confrontation. What is missing is political commitment.

Not only from Elisa Spiropali, Erion Braçe or other voices that present themselves as "free" and critical.

No one is asking them to come out against their party, although that wouldn't be a tragedy.

But if they continue to cower behind Edi Rama's threats, then their "opposition" remains simply 'fake'./ Pamphlet
