
The President of the National Council of Austria, Wolfgang Sobotka, also participated in a special session in the Assembly this Monday.
During his speech, Sobotka said that the relationship between the two countries is quite solid and that it will continue to be just as close in the future.
"Among the closest partners of Albania, who has come to our Parliament three times in 5 years", said the Speaker of the Parliament Lindita Nikolla at the beginning of her speech. The relations between the two countries are long and stable. Last year we had the friendship group from the parliament here to you and they brought with them only good impressions of your country. We are clear that the countries of the Western Balkans should be part of the EU", he said, among other things.
As for the tensions in the North of Kosovo, he said: We need a compromise, to talk to each other and face this process with conflict and not with violence.
Meanwhile, he said that regarding freedom of speech in our country, there is still work to overcome the problems.
" There is a little process to do in this area" , said Sobotka.
