The number 1 of the executive of Kosovo, Albin Kurti not only did not receive him in Pristina, but he has stylishly refused Edi Rama's invitation to be in Tirana, at the informal meeting of the 6 leaders of the Western Balkans that will be held today in Tirana.
Albin Kurti will not participate in the meeting as he is in Greece for the 25th edition of the International Symposium.
Meanwhile, according to the media in Kosovo, it is known that the deputy prime minister Besnik Bislimin will come in his place.
The other 4 countries, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bosnia Herzegovina have confirmed their participation in the meeting.
The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, the Acting Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, the President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Kristo, as well as the Commissioner for Enlargement of the European Commission, Varheyly will have lunch together with Rama at Vila 30, at noon on Monday, in an informal meeting where the Berlin Process will be discussed.
The next meeting of Angela Merkel's initiative, undertaken in 2014, will take place in mid-October in Tirana, so Prime Minister Rama has decided to discuss in advance with all the countries that are part of the Berlin Process initiative on the concrete regional projects that should push forward.
Rama himself undertook a regional tour last week in 5 countries of the Western Balkans to talk about the importance of focusing on this initiative and not on the Open Balkans, which according to him has fulfilled its mission. In Pristina, Rama was not received by his counterpart Kurti, who insisted on holding the canceled meeting of the two governments, while he has not confirmed to be in Tirana the next day either.
