During her speech in Parliament, DP MP Jorida Tabaku stated that the public procurement sector has gone off the rails and that the government is continuously ignoring the reports of the Supreme State Audit Office.
"As long as this system continues, as long as the economy continues to be trapped, as long as Albanian families find it impossible to make a living, as long as we hear about project after project that shows that corruption, transformed into a system, prevents Albania from developing."
For this reason, I very much hope that the voice of reason that comes in this report of the HLSH, but also the recommendations of the resolution, which unfortunately were not approved in the Economy Committee, would have brought a little bit of legality to a sector that has gotten out of control and that needs to be called to reason and public procurements, tenders, concessions be made in a sector where there is competition.
"I am convinced that as long as this government continues, there will be no change, because change must come from those who govern today, and as long as the SAI reports are ignored and the resolutions are not approved, this status quo will continue," said Tabaku.
