Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, has reacted with ironic tones to today's government meeting, which was broadcast live and focused on the progress of negotiations with the European Union.
In a post on the X platform, Tabaku stated that the government seems to have "discovered" that European integration is not a process that is kept on the shelf, ironically adding that this conclusion came after, according to her, the country got stuck in the IBAR report.
She criticized the fact that, while the terms and criteria of the negotiations are not made public, the government chooses to broadcast the meetings live, describing this as a form of spectacle in the absence of real standards.
"Finally, the government has revealed a big secret: European integration is not kept on a shelf. Unfortunately, it made this "discovery" after failing the IBAR exam and, as if to complete the "transparency reform", after 12 years they remembered to make government meetings live."
Now we have a new model: The terms of the negotiations are secret; Government meetings are held live. So the content is hidden, while the form is broadcast. A staged transparency: the lights are on for the cameras, but not for the truth.
"Integration is not a reality show. Conditions are not achieved with live streams, but with standards, and when standards are lacking, only spectacle remains," writes Tabaku.
