Deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, said that the tax on free professionals will increase the prices for services.
She said that the prices of notaries, translators, lawyers and so on will increase for every Albanian.
According to the deputy, the surveys show that 37% of these businesses consider raising the price, while a significant part consider leaving. She raises the concern that this very behavior of the government has destroyed the business and set up a dishonest system.
"Hundreds of young people have written asking about the self-employed tax. Look, this isn't a bunch of people putting a tax on them and complaining. This is about the cream of society, about free professionals who offer services that no one else offers. As we speak, 37% of these businesses, which means economists, financiers, accountants, notaries, lawyers, are increasing the prices of their services.
The chain will grow in other services. While 23% of them think to close their business and leave. Is emigration a solution? Is the increase in taxes while you have excluded other taxes, a solution on the part of the Government to tax your brain?
Even up to 40%, more than any other product in the Republic of Albania. This is the battle we are fighting, so that brains are not taxed more than chairs, than goods, than oil excise and any other product. Let's appreciate and support the brain and stimulate a business!" , Tabaku said on social networks.
