Analyst Preç Zogaj has analyzed the recent developments involving the Democratic Party, focusing on the meeting held between Gazment Bardhi and former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Invited to News24, Zogaj said that everyone is looking forward to the union of the opposition, adding that this union has been hindered by the fact that former Prime Minister Berisha, using his connections, invited the Democrats to confront the US over the problem his personal.
"It is a weighty event, as it is a party that has been divided for two years, for a principled reason, as Gazment Bardhi has called it. A group of MPs apparently consider that the principle reason for the separation to be overcome. Despite the fact that nothing new has happened regarding Mr. Berisha's status. What happens in the opposition is the picture of diverse ambitions where each group follows its own path. Seeing how the situation is, the opposition should institutionalize what is called a plural opposition. It should grow in the electorate. This is a situation that has no precedents in our history, and it is up to the jurists to give their opinions as jurists, but I speak politically," said Zogaj.
