The good thing is that Britain releases the names of those branded. If they are kept secret, no one puts water on the fire and everyone continues their political activity.
A large number of politicians, former MPs and people associated with politics have been declared "non grata" by Great Britain. Berisha was the one who raised the curtain, but it is known that in recent weeks the list has been expanded with other names. However, unlike the USA, which publishes the names of blacklisted persons, London follows a new philosophy. She informs people individually through an envelope. And so it happened with Berisha, who decided to make it public himself.
But the question that arises is: Will London publish the names of persons declared undesirable in Tirana? On the British government website, there is a separate category for anti-corruption measures. But only the names announced mainly by Islamic countries and Russia have been published there. Likewise, London continues to sanction various officials and their names become public. The latest to be sanctioned is Marianne Hoayek, a senior adviser at the Central Bank of Lebanon. Financial sanctions have been imposed on her, along with several other citizens. She is accused of embezzling 330 million dollars in France.
But as for the names in our country, London has preferred to keep them a secret. The one who confirmed that besides Berisha, there are other names on the black list was Tom Doshi. In the OCCRP article, Doshi himself stated that London has declared him undesirable these days. Even for him, the decision was kept secret, just like for many others.
The good thing is that Britain releases the names of those branded. If they are kept secret, no one puts water on the fire and everyone continues their political activity. But if their name comes out publicly, then the citizens have it in their hands whether they want to vote for them or not.
The publication of the names by the US brought Tom Doshin, Vangjush Dako and Aqif Rakipin out of the political scene. The only one who did not obey was Berisha. Likewise, Adriatik Llalla left the "eyes and feet". It remains to be seen if London will follow the same scheme, because if it continues with the secret envelopes, it is a futile move in the fight against the corrupt. / Pamphlet
