Hysen Kadiu, the winner of the Democratic Party primaries for the Tirana district, which were organized before the May 11 elections, the result of which was not respected by Sali Berisha, appeared today alongside Ervin Salianj, who seems to be continuing his battle in the Democratic Party, even though he is considered self-excluded by the former prime minister's supporters.
Salianji organized a meeting in Tirana on Friday afternoon, about a week after the referendum that reconfirmed Sali Berisha as the leader of the Democratic Party, while several names, including the former MP himself, were not allowed to run for this position.
In Salijanj's meeting with the democrats who support him in Tirana, Kadiu criticized the way the Democratic Party is being directed, while calling for a radical change in the system that functions within the party, before a change of government is requested.
Kadiu stated that the opposition can no longer accept illusions and false promises, at a time when the country has been languishing for years in a deep, hopeless crisis.
"The guarantee of our country cannot be held hostage in a 13-year crisis, with no hope of rising. We oppose this hopeless reality. We cannot agree with the delusions that are being served to us, because we believe that this country still has idealists who are not shaken or shaken, who are not sold or bought by the bargains and interests of our politicians. You who have joined us today are these idealists," he declared.
Kadiu emphasized the necessity of a deep internal reform in the Democratic Party, describing those present in the hall as the backbone and true soul of this political force.
"We also believe in the determination to first destroy the systems in our own home, in the DP. To change the reality of our country by changing that of our home. Our home needs to be saved! We may not all know each other by name, but the faces are familiar to each other. You are the people who constitute not only the backbone of the DP, but also its soul," said Kadiu.
