The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, gave a strong message for justice after leaving Tirana where he stayed for 8 hours.
During his stay in Tirana, he held a meeting with the leaders of four important institutions of Justice, the President of the Supreme Court Holta Zaçaj, the President of the Supreme Court Sokol Sadushi, the Supreme Inspector of Justice Artur Metani and the head of the Prosecutor's Office Especially Altin Dumani.
In his message, Blinken emphasizes that justice reform is essential for integration into the European Union.

In his first visit to Albania, the head of American diplomacy was also accompanied by Yuri Kimi, the former ambassador to Albania, now in a higher position in the State Department. The first hosts of Blinken were the Albanian Foreign Minister Igli Hasani and the US Chargé d'Affaires in our country David Wisner.

US support for justice has been exactly one of the topics discussed between the US Secretary of State and Prime Minister Rama. This was confirmed by both officials at the press conference, and Rama even revealed that the justice reform will continue.
He excluded the Albanian opposition from the official agenda. The Secretary of State considered meeting with them unnecessary.
