Tensions in Durrës/ Two more votes in the box, DP demands interruption of counting

An unusual incident was recorded today in CEAZ no. 22 in Durrës, where an irregularity was found in one of the ballot boxes. According to official data, two more votes were found in the box compared to the number of registered voters.

The Democratic Party's open list candidate, Jola Hysaj, immediately reacted by demanding the suspension of the counting process and the re-evaluation of the ballot box. According to her, "all legal procedures established by the CEC for such cases must be implemented, to guarantee the transparency and legality of the process."

On the other hand, representatives of the Socialist Party have opposed the request, demanding that the counting continue normally, considering the incident as negligible for the result.

However, this episode has raised doubts about the integrity of the process and has sparked heated debates at the counting site. The situation remains tense, while the intervention of CEC officials is awaited to make a final decision.

This case once again highlights the fragility of the electoral process in the country and the need for stronger oversight to avoid manipulation and conflicts.
