The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, held a conference with journalists today, where he stated that everything must be done to strengthen democracy and the rule of law.
He also spoke about the government's attempt to control SPAK, through the new group led by Shalsi, for which he said he will find opposition from the DP.
Among other things, Basha emphasized that SPAK is being attacked by the government as it is the only link that works.
" Everything must be done to strengthen democracy and the rule of law. SPAK, the only functioning link, is attacked by the government. The government has refused to deny information about the attempt to control SPAK. If the government under the anxiety of what it has started, bringing those responsible for corruption to justice, have started the effort to control the institutions of justice, they will encounter strong opposition from the Democratic Party. PD has unconditional support for SPAK. Whoever panics about SPAK's investigations, may God increase their panic ", said Basha.
