PSD Chairman Tom Doshi has decided to give up his mandates on the closed list of Tirana.
This Wednesday, July 23, the party led by Doshi has requested the CEC to distribute the mandate won in the capital to the open lists.
Thus, at the request of the PSD, the mandate in Tirana will be taken by the most voted candidate on the open list from this political force, Tedi Mula, the nephew of Avni and Inva Mula.
Always if the CEC confirms his request. Mula received 2,500 votes in the May 11 elections.
This decision by the PSD comes after tensions in the 'Albania Initiative' coalition, after one of the candidates on the closed list there refused to give up his mandate as they had promised before the elections.
Meanwhile, Chief Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi today distributed the 37 mandates for the Tirana district.
19 mandates are for the SP, 13 for the DP, 2 for the Opportunity, 1 for the PSD, 1 for the Joint Movement and 1 for the Albania Initiative coalition.
After this, the discussion began on the sole mandate of the Albania Initiative coalition.
Along with the legal representative of Albania Becomes, the CEC also includes the closed list candidate Kleana Xhuveli, ranked fourth, who has revoked her resignation and requested to take the mandate.
Kleana Xhuveli is the first cousin (aunt's daughter) of Adriatik Lapaj.
