Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Vlora this Monday. After visiting the "Lungomare 4" construction site near the Old Beach area, he moved to the Palace of Culture, where he is holding a meeting with the city's Socialist Party Assembly.
Also planned on today's agenda is the holding of the Assembly, as part of the 'Jobs for Albania' tour launched by the government.
The focus of these meetings in all cities of the country are the problems of citizens, while work has also begun for the local elections that are expected to take place next spring.
During the on-site inspection, Rama was accompanied by Mayor Brunilda Mersini, local government representatives and project engineers. The Director of the Albanian Development Fund, Dritan Agolli, presented the progress of the works and technical details.
The “Lungomare 4” segment constitutes the continuation of the existing promenade in the westerly direction and extends for a length of approximately 500 meters. The project includes a promenade approximately 7 meters wide and a 2-meter bicycle path, conceived as a shared space for pedestrians and cyclists.
According to data from the construction site, underground works are nearing completion and include concreting and irrigation systems.
Public lighting is expected to be installed in the final phase.
Authorities aim to complete this segment by mid-May, with the aim of using it during the tourist season.
