Taulant Balla, after taking the post of Minister of the Interior, has promised to develop a systematic war against drug trafficking in the country.
A day after he assumed the position at the head of the Ministry of the Interior, Balla shared on social networks a video of the Elbasan police from the "Network" operation, which has so far put 54 people behind bars.
"The battle against the production, sale and trafficking of narcotics will intensify, turning into a systematic war throughout the country and border checkpoints. Congratulations to the Directorate of Police & Prosecution Elbasan for the coded operation "Network". I expect more shots like this", writes Balla.
Two other members accused of being members of a criminal network for the production, sale and trafficking of various types of drugs were put in handcuffs today.
They are suspected of being members of a criminal network for the production, sale and trafficking of various types of drugs, a criminal activity which was struck by the Elbasan Police on June 29, 2023, as part of the anti-drug police mega-operation coded "The Network". .
A total of 54 citizens were arrested for this mega-operation, as well as quantities and doses of various drugs, firearms, military ammunition, cold weapons and large sums of money in different currencies were seized.
