
The new members of the Council of Ministers, decreed by the President of the Republic and approved by the Assembly, will perform the official oath-taking ceremony before the head of state.
According to the official announcement, the ceremony will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM , at the Brigades Palace .
The new cabinet appointments were approved in a plenary session accompanied by debates and political tensions. With 83 votes in favor and 3 against, the Assembly approved the appointment of Albana Koçiu to the post of Deputy Prime Minister.
With 83 votes in favor and 4 against, Ferit Hoxha was elected as Minister of Foreign Affairs, while with the same result, the appointment of Besfort Lamallari as head of the Ministry of Interior was also approved.
Meanwhile, Ermal Nufi was appointed Minister of Defense with 83 votes in favor and 6 against, while Toni Gogu took over the Ministry of Justice with 83 votes in favor and 5 against.
Also, Enea Karakaçi was voted Minister of Infrastructure and Energy with 83 votes in favor and 6 against, while Erjona Ismaili was appointed Minister of State for Parliamentary Relations, receiving 82 votes in favor and 4 against.
