Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha stated today in a media conference that Prime Minister Edi Rama has made a trip to New York, but did not take any photos because according to him, no official agreed to be photographed with him.
Berisha said that Rama was asked by the FBI twice about the "McGonigal" case, while adding that the head of the government does not allow the establishment of the investigative commission of the opposition, as he is afraid of the truth.
According to him, Rama tried to give millions to close this case, but without effect.
"He took a trip to New York without photos. In 32 years, the first case that did not publish a photo because no official agreed to be photographed with him because the protocol excluded him from the reception he is given.
How many times have officials from Albania been invited, such as prime ministers and presidents.
This time he was not invited. We will get the file from the USA where he was interrogated for 1 and a half hours on the way out and 2 hours on the way in, so much so that the limousine that had taken him was running away.
He was being questioned by the FBI. He does not allow us to investigate McGonigal, because we will tell the Albanians the truth.
Tried to give millions, but to no avail. Now remember, McGonigal is an identical accomplice to Rama before justice.
It is the same as the one who gives and the one who takes bribes. His voice does not quiver in vain, his body does not squirm in vain when he appears in front of you. I know that this job is on his back", said Berisha.
