He made fun of autism, Orjola Pampuri reacts harshly to Rama: Serious and
Orjola Pampuri

The Euro-Atlantic Coalition's candidate for MP, Orjola Pampuri, has reacted sharply to the recent statement by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who used the term "autism" during a public statement. According to Pampuri, such a label is unacceptable and very serious.

She emphasizes that autism is not a disease, but a different way of perceiving the world.

Pampuri concludes with a call for more sensitivity, respect, and commitment from state institutions, underlining that the use of such language by a public figure, and even more so by a prime minister, is inexcusable.

"The "autistic" label from the prime minister; an unacceptable and difficult articulation, for anyone who hears it, and much more so for the parents of children with autism who face difficulties every day, from the bureaucracies that Edi Rama's government creates for them, and as if this were not enough, they must also hear the madness that stems from the delirium of a gassy, talkative, and unproductive prime minister.

Feelings are not enough to atone for the hurt of those parents who face difficulties every day, most of which are created by you, your government, Edi Rama, which has a poor approach towards family members and people with autism spectrum disorder.

It is this government that has neglected the needs of these children and their families.
People with autism spectrum disorder are not ill, they simply experience the world differently. Autism is a different way of thinking, feeling and communicating. Prejudice only deepens isolation, while support, understanding and acceptance help them express their full potential.

Every individual with autism has their own abilities and unique characteristics; they deserve respect, space, and opportunities like any other person.

It is not acceptable to be insensitive and use labels towards people with autism spectrum disorder.

Empathy, respect, and kindness are essential. They face challenges that most people don't understand, and for that very reason they deserve more understanding, not judgment.

The lack of sensitivity not only hurts them, but also excludes them from a society that should be inclusive. Each of us has a responsibility to contribute to a more just world, where neuropsychological diversity is accepted and valued.

"The labeling that every ordinary person uses is intolerable and unforgivable from the prime minister, from whom this category expects support, not contempt or ridicule ," Pampuri wrote on Facebook.
