The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, has sent his counterpart in Kosovo, Vjosa Osman, a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence.
In the congratulatory letter, Begaj writes that the 16th anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence is a marked day for the entire Albanian nation and an example that shows that Albanians are active contributors to peace and security in the region and beyond. Begaj also says that Albania will always be in the arms of Kosovo.

Dear Madam President!
The celebration of the 16th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kosovo is a significant event for the entire Albanian nation. On this occasion, on behalf of myself and the citizens of Albania, I express my heartiest congratulations.
Allow me, Madam President, through you, to greet and congratulate all the institutions and citizens of Kosovo who in these sixteen years managed to build and consolidate an independent, sovereign state with democratic institutions. Kosovo today is not only an indisputable reality, but also an example of how Albanians are active contributors to peace and security in our region and beyond.
I appreciate the intensification and expansion of our relations, especially within the framework of natural strategic cooperation, as two republics of one nation, whose destinies are inevitably linked to the Euro-Atlantic civilization.
Albania will always be by Kosovo's side, at every step, for facing any threat or challenge, as well as for new memberships in international and regional organizations.
With the warmest and heartfelt congratulations for the development and progress of Kosovo and its citizens, Please accept, Madam President, the expression of my highest consideration.
