The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, after more than seven hours, left the premises of the Special Prosecutor's Office. He told reporters that he has exhausted all the issues related to the investigations on the Tirana incinerator.
" It has increased my conviction that a full investigation is being conducted in Albania. The only thing we can do is strengthen the institutions. I was here as a colleague, I had been looking for a meeting for some time. There was a total exhaustion of the incinerator issue. Of course, the two investigative colleagues have asked me not to separate the journalists for ethical issues and investigative secrecy. It will be part of the clarification of my testimony. I feel more relieved that I had the opportunity to clarify my word" , said Veliaj.
