The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted to the protest held today in the capital for the mob murder of Egli Proga.
Berisha supported the protest stressing that it comes as a result of missing justice. He called this cause for the murder of Egli Proga right, emphasizing that Pogradeci is under the power of the state mafia, headed by Fatmir Xhafa.
According to him, the Xhafa clan in Pogradec determines everything, makes every law, makes every decision and dictates everything.
"Good evening and the most heartfelt greetings to you brave and invincible braves, missionaries of the right cause of Albanians.
Unlimited gratitude to you, the orators of this platform who, with their words, convey truths to the minds and hearts of Albanians. My friends, today hundreds and thousands of citizens are protesting in front of the prime minister's office.
They protest about the lost life, the missing justice, the mafia murder of a citizen, a parent, a spouse, who stood heroically against a fine-paying murderer.
PD supports any protest for any just cause wherever it takes place. But there is no and cannot be a more just cause for life. Dear friends, a day ago I received a message from a citizen of Pogradec, who wrote to me that today Pogradec is in more terror than Elbasan, Durrës or any other city.
That Pogradec is under the complete, total rule of the state mafia led by Fatmir Xhafa. That the Xhafa clan in Pogradec determines everything, makes every law, makes every decision, dictates everything. And that this clan naturally stands in Pogradec above the law, above the state, has defeated and established its rule. Yes, this is everywhere!", said Berisha.
