Serbia seeks to drag the entire region into its own problems, a plan to block Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro in the waiting corridor...
In one of the most sophisticated political moves of recent times, Aleksandar Vučić has put on the table a proposal that at first glance sounds peaceful and European: the joint membership of all Western Balkan countries in the European Union.
This idea, packaged with integrationist vocabulary and regional rhetoric, has made the rounds in the media as an offer for peace and cooperation. But, if the diplomatic cloak is removed, what remains is a pure geopolitical trap.
With this proposal, Serbia is not seeking accelerated integration, but a slowdown of the process for everyone. Instead of each country moving forward on its own merits, Vučić is suggesting a collective drag, where even countries that have met the criteria will remain on the waiting list until Serbia is ready; or rather, until Belgrade decides that the time is right to let others move forward. This is a classic maneuver to preserve the status quo and hold hostage the European future of its neighbors.
In this logic, Albania, Montenegro or North Macedonia are no longer valued for their progress, but become part of a package where Serbia's obstacles, democratic regression, relations with Russia, media control and the blockage of dialogue with Kosovo, become common issues of the entire region. Thus, the failure of one becomes a burden for all.
For Kosovo, this is another form of diplomatic sabotage. Serbia has made it clear that it does not intend to recognize its independence, but in this case it is attempting to undermine Pristina’s international legitimacy through a formula where Kosovo is no longer presented as a separate entity on the path to the EU, but as part of the “Serbian package.” This is a direct threat to its international subjectivity and a silent attack on the recognition process.
The proposal is a cynical mix of domestic populism and opportunistic diplomacy. Instead of truly reforming his country, Vučić is seeking to sell the illusion of reform through the collectivization of responsibility. And while in Brussels he appears as a leader of stability, on the ground he reaches out to Russia and China, playing a two-door game.
For Albania, this is a wake-up call. Any acceptance of this scheme would be self-sabotage. No country should accept to be linked to the fate of another that has neither the will nor the willingness to respect European principles. The European Union is not a bus where everyone gets on together, but a long and complicated process that requires individual responsibility and real commitment to reform.
This is not the first time that Belgrade has used regional mechanisms to block the progress of others. From the “Open Balkans” initiative to sabotaging the recognition of Kosovo, Serbia has built a model of influence aimed not at sincere cooperation, but at controlling and dampening the EU’s influence on its neighbors.
Therefore, this "union offer" should not be seen as a step forward, but as an attempt to slow down a train that Serbia cannot catch. In this diplomatic challenge, wisdom, strategic clarity and above all, a strong political will will be needed not to retreat from the path towards Europe, without being held hostage by anyone./ Pamphlet

Pse Ameriqia mbeshteste e organizonte grupet diversioniste kunder Shqiperise ne vitet 50-70, qe trajnoheshin ne Beograd, Gjermani e Itali. Jugosllavia ishte shtet komunist qe na e mbolli edhe ne Partine komuniste permes kosovarit Ali Kelmendi i derguar i kominternit nga Moska. Amerikanet e dinin shume mire kush ishin Jugosllavet. Ne 1982 tere sllavoqenet u turren drejt Kosoves me tanke e autoblinda e gjakosen e vrane popullin e Kosoves. Edhe sot, pse kujtoni se Sllovenia, Kroacia, Mali Zi, Maqedonia, te tere sllave te ndyre te ardhur ne trojet tona jane miq me ne e Europen!? Si gjithe Shqiptaret qe i kane mbajtur syte te Amerika shpresa jone edhe une kam pas respekt e simpati por me idene e fshirjes nga harta e Kanadase e Groenlandes e te presesh si harbut Zelenskin ne shtepine tende humba cdo shprese e jam i mpire per tere jeten.
