Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, during a media conference, refused to make public the date when the opposition's campaign strategist or advisor for the May 11 elections, Chris LaCivita, would come to Albania.
Berisha said that the date would be a surprise so that Edi Rama would hit the table with his head.
Meanwhile, referring to sources from the opposition, LaCivita and his staff who will be engaged in the 'Greater Albania Alliance' coalition campaign will arrive one day before the official opening of the campaign by Berisha and his allies.
LaCivita is expected to be in Albania on April 10, but most of the time he will be in online contact with Berisha and the opposition coalition's contact persons.
While his staff will remain in Albania throughout the campaign, LaCivita is expected to leave on April 17 to return at a later date.
According to opposition sources, Berisha's American campaign strategist will be at the opening rally of the campaign, where the presentation of all candidates listed on the 'Greater Albania' list is planned, as well as the main points of the opposition program.
LaCivita was one of the main characters in Donald Trump's team that emerged victorious in the November 5, 2024 presidential race in the United States of America. Considered the 'new sheriff' in town by Berisha and other opposition actors in Albania, LaCivita has declared "I am exporting MAGA - Make Albania Great Again!".
