The Vice President of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, said that the DP currently has 320 identified candidates who will be selected for the 2025 elections.
He stated that he cannot give a concrete date for the final list of DP candidates, as their identification will go parallel to the program presented the day before.
"Their identification and distribution in the territory depends on the electoral system that would be applied, it happened that the electoral reform commission failed. We have not really declared them, but today we have no less than 320 candidates identified, the process is still ongoing, since before March 31, a decision was made that the party structures were selected through internal processes, they will be the main pool of candidates and these will are further enriched with other candidacies from the party's branches. It will be a daily process for the identification and selection of candidates, it will not be a single date. The presentation of the candidates will be when our candidates are identified, I cannot give a date", said Alibeaj in an interview for Euronews Albania.
