Fire and arsonists in the Parliament, the majority demands punitive measures for the opposition MPs

The Socialist Party has requested disciplinary measures for the opposition MPs after the chaos created in the Albanian Parliament during the session on Monday (November 20).

It is not yet known the exact number of opposition MPs for whom the exemption is requested. The request of the majority has been filed with the Secretariat of Ethics and the decision is expected to be taken today.

We remind you that on Monday the Assembly was involved in total chaos, where the opposition MPs implemented their plan for not allowing the normal development of the session where the 2024 draft budget was expected to be voted on. They threw cigarettes and flares, while at one point one of the tables was engulfed in fire. 

Although in the midst of chaos, the Parliament approved the draft budget with 73 votes in favor.
