Prime Minister Edi Rama has decided to convene the Congress of the Socialist Party on December 8, the day of the Student Movement.
The news was confirmed by the socialist deputy speaker of the Assembly, Ermonela Felaj, during an interview in "Klan News".
The Congress has been postponed several times by Rama and the fact that December 8 was decided seems to be a clear message. Berisha is attacking Rama and trying to riot, while the prime minister is thinking that on the most important day of the DP, he will steal his attention.
" The Congress will be held on December 8 in the hall of the Palace of Congresses. I don't know why something should change in the Socialist Party because members of the Socialist Party, or sympathizers, or whoever has something to do with the prosecution and the court at a certain moment. I want to repeat that we have been clear about all the complications that the justice reform could bring because since we are in power since 2013, it is clear that the competence of the prosecution and the Special Court that was created due to reform in justice is a competence that extends to functionaries and officials of the ruling party. From the moment we accepted that the reform in justice was important for the interests of the country, we were aware of what awaited us and I believe that it preceded everyone's fear of the law in their work. If you are afraid of the law at work, it is clear that you are less likely to fall into such mistakes that lead to the prosecution and the court. I believe that this is the kind of behavior that we should implement in what is called the governing structure of the state, be it central or local ," she said.
