The deputy of the Democratic Party of Elbasan district, Lefter Gështenja, has listed three demands of the opposition that, if they are fulfilled according to the right given to them by the Constitution, will return the parliament to its normality.
"The international representatives gave the right to the opposition in its battle to return the parliament to the tracks of constitutionality. I thank our strategic partners, the United States of America, the European Union, Great Britain and Germany, who reacted and demanded respect for the rights and freedoms of the opposition.
The demands of the opposition guarantee that the parliament maintains its role, that of control over the government. There is no greater mission, in the conditions when this majority has seized all power, for the opposition to do its duty by fighting with every democratic means.
The majority should give the green light to the establishment of parliamentary investigative commissions; the constitution and reinstatement of the Electoral Reform Commission and to renounce involvement in the internal affairs of the Democratic Party. That's enough for the parliament to return to normal," the MP wrote in a post on Facebook.
Meanwhile, the Ethics Secretariat will meet today for the expulsion of Berisha's MPs who lit incense burners and flames in the November 20 session where the 2024 budget was planned to be discussed.
SP demands the expulsion of 5 MPs from Berisha:
Flamur Noka
Bledion Nallbati
Gazment Bardhi
Albana Vokshi
Sotina Koti
The November 20 session was closed for 5 minutes after the budget passed in principle with 73 SP votes amid the chaos that the Berisha and Bardhi group of MPs created with smokestacks and overturning of chairs.
