The EU has given a 'slap' to Berisha's group, who threw flares in the Assembly, while the 2024 draft budget was expected to be approved.
International diplomacy is worried about the chaos created by the opposition in the Assembly, where in the last session, flames were lit, smokestacks were overturned, and chairs were overturned.
The Embassy of the European Union in Tirana says that the functional parliament is a central pillar in the process for our country's membership in the European Union. The EU delegation calls for constructive dialogue in the interest of citizens.
"After the recent developments in the Parliament of Albania, the European Union recalls that a functional Parliament that exercises an effective supervisory and legislative role is a central pillar of the EU membership process. Constructive and comprehensive political dialogue in the parliament is very important and in the interest of Albanian citizens", says the EU response.
Meanwhile, the embassies of the USA and Great Britain have condemned the violence, as they have called on the political parties to sit down in dialogue. For American diplomacy in our country, the normal dysfunction of the Assembly is to the detriment of the country.
"A functional parliament and dialogue between its representatives are of critical importance to provide services and draft laws in the interest of the Albanian people. The repeated malfunction observed during the last months is not in the interest of Albania", said the American embassy in a reaction to the Voice of America.
The British Embassy, through a post on the social network 'Facbeook', addressed a call to both the majority and the opposition, asking you to resolve disputes through dialogue.
"The British Embassy in Tirana expresses its concern regarding the latest developments in the Parliament of Albania. A functioning parliament and constructive dialogue between elected representatives are essential to guarantee legislation and services effectively. We call on the majority and the opposition to work together together to ensure that parliament can exercise its oversight role and act in the interest of all citizens", writes the British embassy.
Even the ambassador of Germany in Tirana, Karl Bergner, has expressed concern about the chaos created in the Assembly by the Re-establishment for several weeks, stressing that it is essential that the Assembly of Albania exercise control over the executive.
"I am following with concern the latest developments in the Parliament of Albania. The citizens of Albania rightfully expect their parliament to be a forum where its members can present and openly discuss various political proposals. This exchange should take place in peace and be guided by the rules, which the parliament itself has determined.
Therefore, I call on the members of the majority and the opposition in the Assembly to cooperate, in order to guarantee that the parliament fulfills its essential constitutional role: the control of the executive and the legislation in the interest of the citizens represented through the deputies", concludes the reaction . of the German ambassador.
On Monday (November 20), it was Gazment Bardhi who, in a letter addressed to Speaker Lindita Nikolla and the diplomatic corps in the country, called the parliament a miniature of Kim Jong Un and accused that the Guard of the Republic has occupied the plenary hall to intimidate the opposition deputies. The Assembly approved the state budget amid the flames, in a short session, after the chaos that the grouping of deputies of Berisha and Bardhi created with smokestacks and overturning of chairs.
