The Rama-Meloni Pact for refugees, the draft goes to the Assembly for review
Edi Rama and Giorgia Meloni

The agreement signed by the Prime Minister, Edi Rama and the Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, is expected to be included in the agenda of the Assembly, to start the examination in the Parliamentary Commissions and then to be voted on in the session .

The Socialists have included the agreement with the Italians, which provides for the establishment of two refugee camps in Shengjin and Gjadër in Lezha.

The draft will be approved today at the Conference of Presidents, while the majority must be decided to take it to the end as an initiative, even though it has had many voices against it in the international arena.

It seems that the agreement will be reviewed online, like the state budget, which was approved in principle without presentation and without debate, for the first time in all these years.

While the political crisis is causing the normal work of the Parliamentary Commissions to not take place in the physical presence of the deputies, but only online.

Prime Minister Rama and the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, declared a few days ago in a joint press conference that thousands of refugees who land on Italian shores will be sheltered in Albania, pending the treatment of their asylum application.

The two prime ministers posed in front of the cameras signing an agreement, which, although it caused an avalanche of reactions in Albania, continues to remain unknown to the public opinion.
