The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has said that Serbian President Vučić is nervous about democracy.

He said in an interview for the Croatian media "Vecernji list" that Vucic wants to become king.

Among other things, he said that there are bases of the Serbian army on the Kosovo-Serbia border "so we are very careful".

"We bought the Bajraktars, doubled the army budget and increased the number of soldiers. On the border are the bases of the Serbian army, that's why we are very careful", said Kurti.

Earlier this week, the Chief Negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia, Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkovic, were invited to Brussels, by the European mediators, to discuss the actions to escalate the situation as well as the steps to implement the agreement of February 27 for the normalization of relations.

The Government of Kosovo days ago agreed with the European Union's plan for the extension of the situation in the northern municipalities inhabited by Serb majority. The government of Kosovo has already reduced the presence of police forces in municipal buildings by 25 percent and has agreed to move towards holding new elections in the north of Kosovo.

"Since last week, we have reduced the presence of the Kosovo Police by 25 percent in the three municipal buildings in the north. Now we have started to pave the way for early elections. Kosovo is implementing the agreement reached with the EU, in Bratislava, for the extension of the situation", wrote the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti on his profiles on social networks.
