Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti will not participate in the Ukraine-Southeastern Europe Summit that will be held on February 28-29 in Tirana.
Perparim Kryeziu has confirmed to the media in Tirana that the prime minister is in the United Kingdom this week.
Tirana will welcome for the first time a Summit entirely dedicated to Ukraine, just a few days from the second anniversary of the start of the Russian aggression there.
On February 28-29, when the Summit for Ukraine and the Western Balkans will be held as part of this summit, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will also make a video message, as Prime Minister Edi Rama himself announced from Ankara on February 20.
The works are expected to take place in the premises of the Palace of Congresses, where the welcoming ceremony will be held, while at the end of the closed sessions for the media there will also be a joint press conference.
On February 29, it will be followed by another summit, that of the Western Balkans, where the leaders of the 6 countries of the region will participate.
The focus of this meeting will be on the economic growth plan for the countries of the Western Balkans and the path to European integration, while the president of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen, is also expected to be present.
