The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, has said that for Serbia, the request for an Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority is not for the purpose of integrating local Serbs in Kosovo.
But, Bislimi says that the aim is to establish a "Trojan horse" in Kosovo, and for this he also shows a 'non-paper' that was recently drafted by the Academy of Sciences of Serbia.
"Kosovo has repeatedly warned the international community about Serbia's real reason for insisting on the formation of the AKS. AKS never intended to integrate the local Serbs in Kosovo, but to be Belgrade's 'Trojan Horse' to make the state dysfunctional, preparing the way for separation. The latest 'non-paper' drafted by the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Serbia (by Vasilije Krestić, full member) provides the strongest evidence yet of Serbia's true intentions behind the insistence on AKS in Kosovo." , Bislimi wrote on Twitter.
Bislimi showed some points of that "non-paper" while saying that this is also the reason why Belgrade persistently seeks Association.
"The creation of the AKS is not an objective in itself, but it represents an important step towards achieving the goal of a 'Serbian world' that coincides with the territory of the former Yugoslavia. The initial design of the AKS is not relevant, as the powers will evolve and be exploited due to Belgrade's financial support and a relative lack of oversight by the Government of Kosovo. These powers will lead to a new Republika Srpska with the aim of territorial division between the Albanian and Serbian territories. This will then push the international community to recognize the existence of two national entities in Kosovo and an absolute autonomy in the areas of the AKS. This autonomy will bring a situation where the Serbs will not need to interact with the Government of Kosovo, thus making the AKS a "cuckoo's egg" in the territory of Kosovo. Serbia believes that the main comparative advantage it currently has, and should use, is its economic superiority in the region. Under the current circumstances, the ultimate goal 'Serbian World' cannot be achieved by political means alone. Other means should also be used, including religious mechanisms with the potential for political influence in neighboring countries where the Serbian Orthodox Church operates. Therefore, the establishment of the AKS should be a key imperative for Serbian politicians, providing a core for the centuries-old goal of the unification of the Serbian nation", Bislimi quoted the points of the "non-paper". "The 'Non-paper' perfectly explains Belgrade's insistence on the AKS, but it should make the international community reconsider its own insistence," he said. is the economic superiority in the region.
