The Serbs were defeated in the one-day war in the village of Banjské in Kosovo, and after that defeat they will find it impossible to fight for their political rights, namely for the right to be an autonomous community.
"They no longer know what is right," an NGO activist told the weekly "Vreme", a sentence that best describes the state of defeat that occurred after the bloody events of September 24.
On the eve of that date, President Vučić had "New York week" leading a delegation to the United Nations General Debate. The Serbian president gave another bold speech before the UN General Assembly, which Vuk Jeremic, the former president of that body and now one of the leaders of the right-wing opposition, described as quite brave. According to Jeremic, there was a lack of courage to deliver the key message that Serbia will never accept Kosovo as a member of the UN.
However, President Vučić found the courage to say what he did not say at the UN to the worried Serbian public in a speech on RTS, a few hours after the end of the bloody drama in Banjska.
Just three days after the "New York, New York" aria, Vučić had to awkwardly recite "someone was in Banjska e Vogël", that is, metaphorically, to descend from the heights of the global elite, to the difficult terrain of the crisis in Kosovo.
He managed the crisis in a drastically different way than he has always done until now, which was interpreted with three possible motives, all negative for him.
First, that this is a real crisis and not an agreed upon one, and this was noticed by the fact that all the regime's television propaganda programs started making banal comparisons, such as when Hashim Thaçi took a boat ride in the lake of Gazivode.
Second, that he is in collusion with the real creators of the crisis, with whom he cooperates in "forwarding" the story about Serbian terrorists, similar to what happened in 2016 during the attempted "coup" on election day in Mali Black. .
Third, that he was completely taken by surprise and behaved like the defeated party in the war, which covers his losses and that he was completely overwhelmed by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
From this comes the fourth, that Vucic's current defeat in Kosovo is being tried to be falsified by quickly announcing the elections in December, so that at least he wins in the campaign.
True, it could also be a bluff, although, for the sake of drama and the credibility of this move, mayors, including Belgrade's Aleksandar Shapic, resigned.
That serial and sudden resignation, however, looks more like a repetition of the loss from Kosovo, because it recalls how last fall, at the behest of the Serbian List, the mayors of the municipalities and councilors of the Serbian areas resigned in Kosovo.
At the behest of the Serbian List and Milan Radoicic, its vice-president, who has already been designated as the main culprit of the conflict in Banjska, and whom Vucic is trying to explain to the Serbian public that he only protects it, but does not control it .
Like it or not, politics is a big cosmic show and if Vučić is the person who has to show that Serbs are not criminals and terrorists, that act, that is, the international investigation cannot end well for us.
