The lecturer of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Pristina, Xhevat Krasniqi, who is accused by the students of sexual harassment, has been suspended from his duties.
Krasniqi was accused by 27 students of sexual harassment. The Student Feminist Movement protested in front of the University rectorate for several days in a row. Activists demanded the dismissal of the lecturer, citing the words, which according to them, the professor said "I am fair in assessment, and so I am fair, when I take a shower and give a massage".
One of the students showed in the protest the day before before the Ethics Council of the University of Pristina the moment when the teacher offered her a massage.
"You told me I wanted a massage. Point. I've seen you with my eyes and I've heard you with my ears, no pun intended. You caused us trauma. Apologizing is not enough, you have also caused stress to our parents" , she addresses the teacher, while the other students tell her that she should apologize and run away from work.
The Ethics Council did not make a decision yesterday, but today, it was decided to suspend it until a decision is made.
