The Basic Court in Pristina has sentenced the six accused for the rape of an 11-year-old girl in Kosovo to 62 years in total.
One of the accused was sentenced to 12 years in prison, 5 were sentenced to 10 years in prison each and one was released for lack of evidence.
The accused BR, D.RR, BS, MS, FS, MR were found guilty and sentenced by the court, as they separately committed the criminal offense of Rape, so the accused B.RR was sentenced to imprisonment for a duration of twelve (12) years, while the accused D.RR, BS, MS, F. S and MR have been sentenced for a duration of ten (10) years, each separately.
The accused GS was acquitted of the indictment for the crime of Rape, the defendant D.RR. was acquitted of the indictment for the criminal offense of Assisting in the commission of the criminal offense of Rape, the defendant FS was acquitted of the indictment for the criminal offense of Assistance in the commission of the criminal offense of Rape, and the accused ES was acquitted of the indictment for the criminal offense
Assistance in committing the crime of Rape. Accused BR, D.RR, BS, MS, FS and MR have been assigned the measure of detention until the judgment becomes final.
The accused have been obliged to compensate the costs of the criminal procedure, while the injured party has been instructed in a civil dispute for the property claim. Dissatisfied parties have the right to appeal to the Court of Appeal of Kosovo through the Basic Court in Pristina.
