Agim Nesho, diplomat, former ambassador, invited to the Debate on A2 CNN, said that Ali Ahmeti's DUI in North Macedonia will switch to the opposition after the May 8 elections.
According to the diplomat, Ali Ahmeti was wrong when he supported the Open Balkans, as it was to the detriment of Kosovo.
"Everything has its time, it has its cycle, it is a party that even staying in the opposition will do them good. All the more that Ali Ahmeti has made a fatal mistake, unconditionally supporting the Open Balkans, since it was known that Kosovo's interests were damaged. This was not forgiven not only for Ali Ahmet, but also for any Albanian party. This is what prompted activism on the part of Kosovo, as it was something unforgivable," said Nesho.
On May 8, the second round of presidential elections will be held in North Macedonia where, according to the latest data and talks, the Macedonian opposition will create a coalition with the Albanian opposition and this would bring the DUI's fall from power.
