Race in Prizren, over 64 percent of votes counted; who tops the list

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) candidate, Shaqir Totaj, is leading in the race for mayor of Prizren, according to preliminary results from the Central Election Commission (CEC).

As of 21:54, 153 out of 236 polling stations have been counted, which accounts for 64.83% of the total.

Out of a total of 188,882 registered voters, voter turnout was 20.35%, or 38,435 citizens.

The results so far are:

Shaqir Totaj (PDK) – 42.34% (16,272 votes)

Artan Abrashi (LVV) – 28.74% (11,047 votes)

Driton Selmanaj (LDK) – 11.23% (4,317 votes)

Zafir Berisha (BDP) – 5.20% (2,000 votes)

Furkan Bütüçü (KDTP) – 3.82% (1,470 votes)

Emilija Redžepi (NDS) – 3.67% (1,409 votes)

Totaj's current lead positions him as the favorite for the second round or even for victory in the first round, depending on developments in the remainder of the count.
