Most municipalities go to runoff elections

Unlike the general elections, Kosovo appears to be moving at a rapid pace when it comes to counting votes for local elections. Today, citizens voted for leaders in 38 municipalities.

So far, over 50 percent of the votes have been counted in most municipalities. A large portion will go to the runoff. 

It should be noted that Kosovo has a system in which the winner is declared the one who has over 50 percent of the votes. If no one achieves this, there is a second round between the 2 most voted candidates.
