Glauk Konjufca, the speaker of the parliament, has said that the Vetevendosje Movement will find it impossible to govern without forming a coalition. He said that the VV has not achieved its goal of governing alone and that it now needs to modify its path to achieve power.
" Vetëvendosje has had a transparent position during the elections. We have said that my goal has been to continue a government as we have, preferably without other opposition parties, and then you get the election results and see that you have not achieved that goal. This is democracy. You had a goal and you have not achieved it. And then you modify it along the way. This is not a sin in democracy. You set a goal - we have not achieved it. We have not achieved the goals and now we are in scenario B. It is the most normal possible case ," he said after the meeting with political entities. " We have said the goal is to form the government alone. Is this possible? It does not seem possible to me, " he continued.
He also spoke about the letter sent to the Democratic League of Kosovo for consultations before the constitution of the Assembly and the process of forming the government. Konjufca said that "the language of cooperation and partnership" will be used.
" ... in the end, we all wake up one morning and see what the election results are and we understand that politics is not built on hate and love. Politics is about understanding interests, but the interests we represent are not ours, but those of the Republic of Kosovo. Here there is only cooperation. It is the effort to move Kosovo forward together, because separately we have no chance. Democracy and politics require exactly this. That by coming together, we can join forces and come to a common doctrine of representing our state interests ," he said.
