The Ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, spoke today about the terrorist attack on the Kosovo Police, in Banjska, Zveçan.
Hovenier in a statement to the media said that the attack was carried out by a group of professionals and that some structure is hidden behind them.
"Let me say that it is a very serious attack. The security institutions of the USA are working together with those of Kosovo and others to clarify everything that happened and the motives...", said the ambassador.
He further than what they know is that there was an attack which was by an organized, trained and professional group and which also had military equipment.
"We know that the attackers killed a Kosovo policeman", said Hovenieri.
The American ambassador further said that it was not a group spontaneously organized by individuals, citizens, but it was a well-organized group, which means that there is some structure behind them.
He further stated that he has no knowledge of whether there were negotiations for the release of the attackers.
